A Message from the District Executive…
2007 has seen some BIG milestones for our District. We exceeded our membership goal before June, we exceeded our
FOS goal by more than $2,000, we held a number of excellent events and we have more active District volunteers than
ever. Thank you to EVERYONE in Cloud Peak District, for your dedication and teamwork through this year!
We’re looking to have some serious FUN in 2008, starting with our Klondike and Cub Snow Day in February. Be looking
for information on this event at Roundtables. There will be different activities this year for Scouts under and over 14,
so gather all your older Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturers and get ready for some winter sports!
Thank you again to everyone who makes this District so great to serve, see you at Roundtable.

December Roundtables and Charter turn-in
At the December Roundtable all units must turn in their completed Rechartering paperwork. Payment for all 2008 fees
(unless you are an LDS unit) and all applications for new youth and adult members must accompany your packet. New
members added after Recharter paperwork is complete may be added by hand to the charter before the turn-in date, but
applications and fees must come with the charter. FAILURE TO TURN IN YOUR CHARTER BY THIS DATE MAY
RESULT IN “LAPSED STATUS” FOR YOUR UNIT. All questions should be referred to the District Executive.
Cub Snow Day
Snow Day will be held at the Youth Cabin near Deerhaven again this year. The Theme will be “Little Mountain Men”
and activities will include snow sculptures to fit the theme, games, a mountainman skill/lore station and other activities.
Registrations will be available at the December Roundtable. Lunch will be provided. The day will start at 9am and cost is
$6.00/person, adult and youth.
Boy Scout Klondike
The Klondike, this year, will be split into two different program areas. Varsity Scouts, Venturers and Boy Scouts over
age 14 will conduct winter high adventure camping activities beginning Friday night. On Saturday a demonstration by
Search and Rescue, for Scouts 11-13, will take place at Base Camp. After the demonstration these Scouts will participate in
Search and Rescue exercises to find and provide aid to the high adventure group who will provide a realistic scenario for the
search and rescue group. Lunch only on Saturday will be provided. Cost will be $7.00/person, adult and youth.
