The Central Wyoming Council would like to welcome you to Camp Buffalo
Bill. We are busy preparing the camp for your arrival. This guide is designed
to help you prepare also. In it, you will find the information you need to plan
an outstanding summer experience.
Camp Buffalo Bill is located 43 miles west of Cody, Wyoming on US
Highway 14/20. A sign indicates the turn from the main road and one more
sign points the direction to the camp.
The tree covered mountains and beautiful valleys of Camp Buffalo Bill are
located just seven miles east of the East Entrance to Yellowstone National
Park. The incredible Wapati Valley between the North and South Absaroka
Wilderness areas provides a setting where beauty and wildlife abound. This
was the playground for William “Buffalo Bill” Cody and now it’s ours. We provide a program for boys at many levels. New Scouts can earn the
outdoor requirements for First Class in our New Camper Program and still
have time to earn merit badges. Slightly older Scouts can advance on the
Eagle trail by participating in our merit badge program. Boys 14 years old
and up can participate in two different high adventure programs.
Backpacking, hiking, rafting, canoeing, fishing, rappelling, and shooting
are just a few of the many activities to enjoy at Camp Buffalo Bill. |
